Jackson

He had his first birthday. Also his first Halloween, kind of. He loved the candy. I've had to hide it because he freaks out if he sees candy even if it's an empty rapper. He was an adorable elephant!! He had a tail and when he walked it would sway side to side. It was the cutest thing to watch! This kid is so smart. He copies everything Jaycee does and is even trying to talk. For example he'll walk up to something he wants and look at me and start talking/asking me for it. But it's all gibberish. His eyes pretty much say everything for him anyways. He is amazing!!! He has stolen a piece of my heart. He always makes me smile!

Jaycee

This girl. Oh she is something else. A mix of energy and sass. But she sure can be a big love bug. She'll run up to me and hug me and ask for a hug and kiss and won't let me go right away. In the sweetest voice she says Hi momma/bubba/daddy. But only when she wants too the other times she sure can mean mug and tell you whose boss. ( I wonder where she got that from 😉) she says more words everyday it seems. And she loves music and singing. But only sings when she wants to especially if she has heard momma sing the song before. I love her to pieces. 💕

Jason

I feel like this man is more then I can ever describe. He works so hard every single day. I never hear complaints or negative things come out of his mouth! He has lately been with our little family more, which means coming home to see the kids go to bed then goes studies some more. I don't know how he still manages to keep up with med school. He's my hero!

Jocellyn

Well I'm doing well. I feel like med school is going by quicker then I expected. Maybe it's because the kids grow so fast so it's messed up my look on time. But I can say I'm loving our adventure. Now I have bad days but they seem so small compared to the other days. Don't get me wrong I know what is ahead in our little adventure like Step1 which is a crazy extremely important test for Jason to pass because he can't retake it. But I'm not worried. I have so much faith in my man I know he'll knock it out of the park. Plus I'm so excited for 3rd year because Jason can finally to rotations which is the hands on part of med school. This means he can finally see what he loves and dislikes. Aka meaning I get to hear what our life could be like in the future. And my mind can't even image anything more then what I have planned for tomorrow.

Life is moving faster than I can keep up. We have gotten through the first year of medical school. We did a lot of traveling this summer. We were able to visit our family in California. We visited some church history sites: The Sacred Grove, Hill Cumorah, Joseph Smith's houses. And we went to Niagara Falls. It was a lot of fun. The most we have ever traveled our whole marriage. And don't forget we went to Washington the State for our family reunion. The flights went great and the babies were amazing when we flew to Washington.

Jason

Jason did research this whole summer. He also won 7th place when he presented his research at the end of July!!! He is amazing I know you are thinking it so I might as well say it. He also has been able to shadow different doctors. Jason is always working hard and prepping in every way he can to reach his goals. Oh and I might add being the best husband and dad ever. He takes care of us even with all the work he has to do. This next year is going to be really hard and stressful for him. He has to take Step1 which is a test that determines what kind of doctor he could be. It is like the MCAT all over again, but way WAY more intense and harder!

Jaycee

This big sister is growing so fast. Her hair alone is getting so long and curly. She loves being outside. Jaycee is always showing Jack who is the boss and how much she loves him. Her new favorite thing is our new van we got. She is always grabbing the car keys and asking to go bye-bye. She is also is saying new words like love you too. Jaycee is trying really hard to communicate but still struggles in trying to get what she wants across so I can understand. AND she is NOW 2!!!

Jackson

My big cuddle bug is showing more of his personality every day. He is sensitive loving happy social and determined to keep up with his big sister. He crawls everywhere and is really quick. Jack already gave mom a heart attack by climbing up the stairs and almost falling down. He pulls himself up on everything that we had to lower is crib. He still only has two teeth. I don't mind since when he was teething it wasn't very fun for anyone.

Jocellyn

I'm doing way good. I grew a lot spiritually and in every way this first year. Perspective is everything! What you think is what will happen. If you choose to enjoy life and have fun the easier it can be. This second year is going to be way intense because of Jason's step1 test, but I say bring it. I know we can do this! The best thing is I finally have my body back. Jason took me on a date just as school started. We played soccer and I kicked butt!!! Best day ever! I really have missed playing soccer.
